Adventure Sports

1)Warm-up:
-Look at the different pictures.
-What kind of sports can you see in the photos?
-What do you think about them? Are they dangerous?
-Which ones would /wouldn't you like to try?Why? Why not?
-Where could you do it in Argentina?















2)-Check this links with different extreme sports
-Choose one sport and then, think about its ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES.

For example: ADV>>Le Parkour (free running) is a very aerobic activity and it is an activity for young teenagers.
DISAD>> You can badly hurt your knee or feet.

Then, say...

-which one needs an special equipment.
-which one depends on weather conditions.
-which one requires the person's strength. 
-which one uses sticks.
-which one uses automatic vehicles as a media to complement his/her activity.
-which one involves two people jumping at the same time.

Extreme Sports

-Is it familiar to you?
-What do you know about it?



2)Imagine you are going to participate in the Rally Dakar.
-What will you take with you?
-What do you think you will enjoy/not enjoy during your trip?



Example: I will need a pair of shoes or trainers, some t-shirts and a cap.

Here, there is a model you can follow when writing an advertisement or a letter.

1) Write an advertisement about "one adventure sport" of course, you can practice in your province or country.

2) Write a formal letter asking for information about the advertisement. Include modal verbs. :)


3) Write a  FOR :) and AGAINST :S essay  about a particular extreme sport.
